Slumber Party!!

Due to the fact that 99% of our friends have boys and the oldest kids my neighbor has are boys my little princess rarely gets to have girl time.  Somehow we told her about having a sleep over and my beautiful bride decided to be a martyr and have some girls over.  We had 3 little girls over, while I was at work, and when I got home in the morning they were covered in makeup, what else should I expect.  My little princess had a great time, I only got a few shots in after I got home, but here they are.

No Rain? Pool Time!

The kids had been BEGGING to go outside for the last few days during our torrential downpour.  Finally there was a break int the weather and we could take them outside.  They were so excited to swim, only the pool must have been 50 degrees!  They still tried though, but they were cold.  It must have been cold because I have a theory that kids don't have developed nerves yet, have you seen what they swim in?  It's like they are Canadians or something, so if they were cold I knew it must be close to the freezing point.  Nonetheless they eventually made their way into the pool and had fun.

This is my big buddy in 2 different photos, about 2 years apart.  It is amazing how fast they turn from a baby into a little boy.

This is 2 photos of my kids, one is from Sept 08 and one is from this May. They have grown up so much in such a short amount of time.

Turtle Power

My princess and big buddy were outside with the neighbor kids when my daughter ran in all excited about something. Come to find out the turtle from a few days ago had returned.  The kids were so interested and loved to touch his shell and hold him, with adult supervision of course.  This is the busiest turtle I have ever seen, not sure where he is going every day, but he seems to be off doing something, eventually making his way back to the pond.

My kids were playing on the trampoline and the water hose at the same time.  I was trying to catch the water bouncing off the trampoline but took this shot on accident and I thought it came out really cool.  I love finding a different perspective of everyday things

As I was watching my children play I was reminded at how small we are and how big our God is.  Whenever I go to the ocean I am always reminded of this, the water just seems to go forever.  We try to control our lives, we think we can, but when we look at ourselves compared to the obstacles we might face I hope we realize that we can only get through with the help of our Savior.

Trapeze Walkers

My kids and the neighbor kids new favorite thing to do is sit on the deck rail.  I think their goal in life is to find something and then find the most dangerous action they can perform on it.  Usually they are walking on the deck rail, I must have caught them resting between dangerous stunts.
